Overview
Vitamin B12 is a water-soluble, cobalt-centered corrinoid vitamin of the cobalamin family; the cyanocobalamin form is the most air-stable and widely manufactured vitamer. In biochemical models it acts as a cofactor for methionine synthase and methylmalonyl-CoA mutase, supporting one-carbon (methylation) metabolism and mitochondrial energy pathways. The coenzyme-active forms methylcobalamin and adenosyl/hydroxocobalamin are available as alternate cobalamins.

FAQ
Cyanocobalamin (CAS 68-19-9) is the standard offering. The active cobalamins methylcobalamin (CAS 13422-55-4) and hydroxocobalamin can be supplied on request. Specify the required form at RFQ; each lot ships with a COA identifying the exact cobalamin supplied.
Each lot ships with a Certificate of Analysis covering appearance, HPLC/UV identity and assay, moisture/loss-on-drying, and heavy metals. MS identity confirmation, residual solvents, microbial limits, and a TSE/BSE statement are available on request for regulated programs.
Cataloged as 10ml / 20ml vials with a minimum order of 1 kit (10 vials). Bulk cyanocobalamin API is also available for buyers running their own fill/finish, with quantity confirmed at RFQ.
No. Material is supplied as a research-use / OEM raw material or bulk component, not as a finished consumer drug. The buyer is responsible for regulatory classification, registration, and labeling in the destination market.
Yes. Under OEM/private-label, cyanocobalamin can be co-formulated into lipotropic (MIC-style) or companion blends. Because cobalamins are light-sensitive, fill and packaging are handled accordingly; the exact formulation and stability approach are confirmed per project at RFQ.
