Overview
AICAR is a small-molecule purine nucleoside (AMP/adenosine analog), not a peptide. Once inside cells it is phosphorylated by adenosine kinase to ZMP, an AMP-mimetic that binds the gamma-regulatory subunit of AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) and allosterically activates it, which is why it is widely used in research as an AMPK activator and "exercise-mimetic" tool compound.

FAQ
AICAR (acadesine / AICA riboside, CAS 2627-69-2) is a small-molecule purine nucleoside, not a peptide. It is the widely used cell-permeable AMPK activator supplied as a research chemical. It ships as a lyophilized powder for research-use applications only.
Every lot ships with a Certificate of Analysis showing HPLC purity and mass-spec (MS) identity confirmation. Third-party COAs and additional analytical data can be provided on request for qualification and audit purposes.
AICAR is stocked in 50 mg and 100 mg vials, with a minimum order quantity of 50 kits (500 vials). Bulk powder and alternative fill weights are available on RFQ for private-label and OEM programs.
Yes. We support OEM and private-label programs including custom vial labeling, fill weights, kitting and documentation. Contact us with your specifications for a quote and lead-time estimate.
Typical research-grade AICAR is supplied at high purity (commonly ≥99% by HPLC); the exact figure is stated per lot on the COA and confirmed by HPLC with MS identity. Specific specifications can be confirmed on RFQ.
